How does winter rain affect a porta potty rental?
Winter rain softens the clay soil common around Yuba City, so units on bare dirt can sink, lean or tip, and service trucks can't cross wet lots. From November to March, put units on pavement, gravel or a plywood pad, and keep the route from the street firm.
Where should a unit go on a wet jobsite?
On a wet jobsite, place the unit on the driveway apron, a gravel construction entrance or a sheet of plywood near the street. Avoid low spots where water pools and the bottom of slopes. A unit that leans more than a few degrees should be reset by our driver.
What about levee-side and riverfront lots?
Levee-side lots in Marysville, Olivehurst, Plumas Lake and along the Feather River should keep units on the highest flat ground. Do not place units on the levee slope or in drainage channels, and follow any levee district rules for access roads.
Does tule fog affect delivery?
Dense tule fog can slow morning deliveries in December and January. Same-day orders still arrive the same day, but early-morning windows may shift later. Drivers call if fog changes your window, and jobsite service days stay the same.
Winter checklist
- Pick a paved or graveled spot.
- Keep the truck path firm.
- Clear the door swing of puddles.
- Call if a unit leans after a storm.
